Kyoto is home to numerous world heritage sites, many other cultural assets and traditional industries, with tourism playing a crucial role in the conservation of these assets. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic suspending cross-border travel, Kyoto, once busy with many travellers from all around Japan and the world before is now devoid of visitors. Tourism in Kyoto is has been drastically affected and the city is now facing more serious financial difficulties.
For the next generation, the city is striving to preserve Kyoto’s valuable assets such as its landscape, culture and heritage, which have been cherished over the centuries. To get through these difficult times, continuous support for our assets is essential; therefore, we would like to humbly ask for your generous and kind support to us by making a donation.
We have created a website with a heartfelt message from the city to you. It will be deeply appreciated if you would read it and give us your support.
